The Great Chief Park Enhancement Project is underway to build a new synthetic sports field, outdoor speed skating oval and pavilion building to open late 2017.
Discovery Canyon underwent significant maintenance and upgrading work in 2016 and will re-open for the 2017 season.
Work is happening to enhance the trails at River Bend Golf and Recreation Area to meet technical requirements to host events during the 2019 Canada Winter Games.
Work includes removing the existing asphalt, re-paving the tennis courts, applying a coloured top coat with line markings and constructing a new retaining wall.
We are building a new community centre on the corner of Taylor Drive and 77 Street, next to Glendale School, that will provide more space for events, meetings, programs, services and activities.
Centennial Plaza Park, located on 52 Avenue between 45 Street and 48 Street, was originally developed in 2001 to celebrate the Province of Alberta’s Centennial.
The parking lot at Rotary Recreation Park has come to the end of its life cycle and needs to be re-paved. The new parking lot design will improve traffic flow, lighting and storm water management.
