Speed Limits

Speed limits are set in place to achieve a uniform speed for all motorists. The regulations for speed limits within the city are set out in the Traffic Safety Act and The City of Red Deer Traffic Bylaw. Limits within the city are set & maintained by the Engineering Department and enforced by the RCMP.

For a list of criteria used to determine a speed limit, see Traffic FAQ’s.
