Dog Licenses

All dog owners in The City of Red Deer must purchase a dog license. Licenses must be renewed annually and are effective from January 1 to December 31.

We use stainless steel Permanent Dog Tags. One tag is good for the lifetime of your dog and the tag number will remain the same each year.

The Permanent Dog Tag requires renewal each year in order to keep our information current. If the tag is lost, you will need to purchase a replacement tag.
