Corridor Community Gallery
- To support a variety of community arts practitioners, community groups and individuals at all levels of experience by providing exhibition space,
- To encourage exposure to and dialog about the arts,
- To make a variety of artwork available as reference material for students of art classes held in the facility,
- To highlight the visual arts in spaces adjacent to some of our studios in the Recreation Centre to help create an environment that reflects and celebrates the arts activity in the facility.
Culture Services invites informal proposals from community groups, collectives and individuals wanting to display two-dimensional visual art.
Ten exhibition frames are available (24 x 30”) - 8 are hung vertically and 2 are horizontal. The frames are attached to the wall with security hangers.
As the format is limited and the work is presented in a mixed-use public area rather than a gallery context, artwork must be deemed suitable for display in this area at the discretion of the programming staff.
Find out what's on display at our galleries. Exhibits are updated bi-monthly so check back regularly.
