Brian’s personal work focuses upon Canadian folklore and its importance to identity. He juxtaposes both whimsy and seriousness to capture the essence of his subjects and create a story that resonates with viewers. His sculptural work is recognized and exhibited nationally and internationally.
He was an invited artist at an international ceramics residency in the Czech Republic where three of his works were accepted into prestigious museums. Brian also finished a large bronze commission this fall and has just won another large bronze commission this spring.
Diverse in his abilities, Brian actively volunteers in the arts, sporting communities and local festivals. In his spare time he sculpts monumental snow sculptures and trains for 100 km marathon speed skating races and has been accepted to run in the 2014 Boston Marathon.
