The City offers a wide variety of recreation services for all levels, abilities and interests that can help Red Deer seniors stay healthy and connected.

Seniors’ Week: June 2-8, 2019

Seniors (aged 65+) are invited to participate in free recreation and fitness activities during the first week of June. A variety of drop in programs and activities are available at 4 recreation centres, and access is free for seniors from June 2-8, 2019.

Seniors Information Fair

Seniors are invited to come to the Collicutt Centre Tuesday, October 1 to learn about recreation and leisure opportunities available to them in Red Deer.

Staff will be on site to answer questions and share information about programs, activities and facilities available through The City of Red Deer. The date was chosen to coincide with the United Nations’ International Day of Older Persons.

This event, in conjunction with SSPI (Seniors Service Providers Interagency), provides an opportunity for guests to meet staff from several agencies, organizations and government departments who care for the wellbeing of seniors living in Central Alberta, including The City of Red Deer.
