2019 Canada Winter Games

The City of Red Deer is proud to host the 2019 Canada Winter Games from February 15 - March 3, 2019. The Games will be the largest event ever hosted in Central Alberta. More than 20,000 visitors are expected, 3600 athletes and thousands of media.

The 2019 Canada Winter Games will leave a lasting legacy for our community for generations to come. From the new world-class amenities right here in Red Deer, to the large economic spinoff, and to the opportunity residents have to be more involved and connected to their community through volunteering or participating in community life in our new public spaces, the benefits are numerous.

Hosting the Games truly is our moment to show the rest of the nation where we are, who we are and what Red Deer is all about.
