Upon arrival at Parkland Mall, visit the Welcome Booth or City Council & City Manager's Booth to pick up an Information Package. Use it as a guide to Let's Talk 2017 and then drop it back off for a chance to win a draw for a $100 or two $50 gift certificates to Parkland Mall.

Welcome Booth: 

  • Come by to find out what you can see and do at Let’s Talk
  • Pick up your event information package
  • Access interpretation services for Spanish, Ukrainian, Russian and Arabic
    from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 
  • Have a question we can’t answer at the event? Leave it on a card at this booth and we will get an answer to you.

Customer Service Centre: 

Visit the Customer Service Centre to talk to the following departments:

  • Recreation and Culture - get information about programs, sign up for spring and summer programs and day camps, and get access to a family pin for Look n' Book in person
  • Utilities - find out about utility usage, MyCity, PAWS (pre-authorized withdrawal service), eUtility and meter exchanges
  • Inspections & Licensing - get help using MyCity, apply for licenses and permits
  • Tax & Assessment - sign up for MyCity or TIP (tax installment plan) or get in touch with an assessor


  • Learn more about the free, confidential, multilingual, 24 hour information and referral system for thousands of community and social services available across the province. 

City Online:

Visit the self-serve stations to sign up for the following online services:

  • MyCity - the online service that provides residents and business owners with 24/7 access to City of Red Deer accounts.
  • Notify Red Deer - get notified about emergencies happening in the locations that matter the most to you.
  • Report a Problem - report issues relating roads & construction, transit, parks, property complaints and more online.

City Council & City Manager:

  • Mayor Tara Veer will be at Let’s Talk from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Your City Councillors and City Manager Craig Curtis will be in attendance throughout the day

  • Come meet the Police and Crisis team from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., the Domestic Violence Unit from 12 - 2 p.m., Victim Services Unit from 2 - 4 p.m., and Community Policing from 4 - 6 p.m.

Municipal Enforcement:
