All signs point to open house next week

July 5, 2017 11:11 AM
(Red Deer, Alberta)

Whether you’re a business owner, someone in the sign industry, or a member of the public, you will want to come to an open house on the review of sign regulations in Red Deer Tuesday, July 11.

Dynamic LED signs, portable signs, billboards, show home signs and more are under review as part of The City’s comprehensive update of the Land Use Bylaw (LUB). The LUB regulates the safety, location, placement, quantity, size, shape, height and type of signs in all commercial, industrial, and residential zones throughout the city.

Sign companies, the business community at large and the general public have already provided input on signage through surveys and public engagement opportunities at Let’s Talk and Budget Open House events. Now, you are invited to review that input and let The City know if it’s headed in the right direction with recommended changes to the signs section of the LUB.
