Building permits values continue to rise

Building permits were on the rise again in August due to a number of commercial permits.

Year-to-date building permits continue to rise over 2017 numbers with the total value of $133.7 million so far in 2018, compared to $83.9 million by this time in 2017.

Notable permits for August include: a $6.5 million permit for Woody’s RV World at 71 Burnt Park Drive; two permits for new four storey apartment complexes at 50 Livingston Close, valued at $4.7 million each; a $2 million permit for interior renovations and a new medical clinic at London Drugs; and a permit, valued at $1.1 million, for a gas flaring facility at the Waste Management Facility.
