July 24, 2017 11:32 AM
(Red Deer, Alberta)

The City of Red Deer is seeking artists to design, manufacture and install collages providing a pictorial history that represents the story and history of the former Red Deer Arena from 1952 to 2016 within the new Servus Arena.

The new Servus Arena is currently under construction on the site of the former Red Deer Arena (D, 4725 – 43 Street) and will open in 2018.

Using materials compiled and provided in digital format by the City, the collages will “show and tell” the history, highlight significant events and people, and share the stories that are near and dear to the community related to the Red Deer Arena. The historic imagery and memorabilia provided to the artist may include photographs, stories, articles, newspaper clippings, documents and quotations for design, manufacture and installation of unique creation.

Artists may apply for pre-qualification for eligibility to participate in an invitational second-stage competitive process. Those interested in submitting an application can view the requirements at http://vendor.purchasingconnection.ca/Opportunity.aspx?Guid=527EB596-7026-4A54-9E93-0951388CCA66
