Two apartments under boil water advisory in South Hill

April 4, 2016 3:34 PM
(Red Deer, Alberta)

Two apartment buildings at 3610 and 3620 52 Avenue are under a boil water advisory until further notice after an earlier water leak.

The affected residents are advised to bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute, prior to drinking, cooking, washing food, or brushing teeth.

The boil water advisory was issued as a precautionary measure as the drinking water supply may be contaminated with the surrounding soil while crews fix the water line. Once the water line is repaired, The City will send water samples to Alberta Health Services to ensure no contamination.

Affected residents were notified by City staff who went door-to-door to each of the apartment units today. In the case that no one answered, a notice and information package was left at the front door.

If you have questions about the boil water advisory, please call 403-342-8750 or visit http://www.reddeer.ca/city-services/water-wastewater-and-storm/water/boil-water-advisory/.
