The public is invited to join Red Deer Emergency Services and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) for a Memorial March ceremony on Sunday, September 11, 2016. The ceremony will honour all firefighters, EMS personnel and police officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

Honour Guards from Red Deer Emergency Services and the RCMP will be on the west steps of City Hall for the ceremony, commencing at 9:30 a.m. and concluding at approximately 10:00 a.m. Members from the County of Red Deer Fire Department will also be in attendance.

Both Canada and the City of Red Deer flags will be lowered to half-mast. Emergency Services Honour Guards will lay a wreath of remembrance and observe a minute of silence to remember and reflect on the loss of RCMP, emergency medical service personnel and fire fighters who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their community.

Attendees are asked to gather on the sidewalk near the north/west corner of City Hall.
