Red Deer RCMP look for suspects after robbery and stabbing

Red Deer, Alberta – Red Deer RCMP are investigating a robbery early Saturday morning in which the victim was robbed by two men and stabbed in the leg as he walked in the area of the CPR walking bridge.

At approximately 6 am on July 30, a man was approached by two men on bicycles as he walked home; the suspects stabbed him in the thigh and sprayed him with bear spray before stealing an older Bulova watch with a silver and gold band and a 14 k gold chain. The victim, a 32 year old Red Deer man, was treated at hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and released.

The first suspect is described as:

  • Aboriginal
  • Early 30s
  • Short hair
  • Heavier build
  • Wearing a white and black patterned bandana
  • Riding a yellow and black BMX bicycle

The second suspect is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • Wearing a hat and a blue bandana
  • Skinnier than his companion
  • Riding a white bicycle
