Use caution at outdoor rinks during warm weather

The recent warm weather has softened the ice at City outdoor skating rinks, making them difficult to maintain and causing many to become unusable.

However, the Parks department will try to prolong the life of rinks as long as conditions cooperate. The following surfaces are still recommended for use:

  • Aspen Heights - hockey rink (Northey Ave.)
  • Bower Ponds - skating pond
  • Bower Place - hockey rink (Boyce St.)
  • Camille J. LaRouge - hockey rink (44 Ave.)
  • Clearview - hockey rink (Cornett Dr.)
  • Eastview - hockey rink (Embury Cres.)
  • Eastview Estates - hockey rink at Joseph Welsh Elementary School (Ellenwood Dr.)
  • Fairview Elementary - snowbank rink (55 St.)
  • Grandview - hockey rink (46 St.)
  • Highland Green - hockey rink (Dowler St.)
  • Inglewood - hockey rink (Inglewood Dr.)
  • Johnstone Park - hockey rink (Jewell St.)
  • Kentwood - hockey rink (Krause Cres.)
  • Lancaster - hockey rink (Lancaster Dr.)
  • Lonsdale - hockey rink (Lawford Ave.)
  • Morrisroe – hockey rink at Annie L. Gaetz School (McIntosh Ave.)
  • Morrisroe – hockey rink (McLean St.)
  • Normandeau – hockey rink (71 St.)
  • Oriole Park – hockey rink (Ogden Ave.)
  • Riverside Meadows – hockey rink (57 Ave.)
  • Rotary Park Oval (47 Ave.)
  • Woodlea – hockey rink (42 Ave.)
  • Westpark – hockey rink at Westpark Elementary School (39 St.)
