Proposed amendments to the North of 11A Major Area Structure Plan - Hazlett Lake area

The City of Red Deer is looking to formalize the Environmental Reserve requirements that have been recommended in the Hazlett Lake Management Recommendations [HLMR] Report by amending the North of 11A Major Area Structure Plan. As part of the City’s overall evaluation process, stakeholders and area landowners that may be impacted by the proposed change are provided an opportunity to review and comment. The proposed changes outline the requirements for the development of Neighbourhood Area Structure Plans [NASP] in the Hazlett Lake area, as well as a identify a minimum Environmental Reserve area around Hazlett Lake for the purpose of pollution prevention.

You are invited to review and provide comments on the proposed amendments by May 05, 2017. The proposed amendment and supporting documentation can be downloaded below for your review.

Lot sale for the purpose of a community amenity site

In accordance with The City of Red Deer Neighbourhood Planning and Design Standards (2013), the property known as legal land description Part of the SW1/4-26-38-27-W4M, excepting thereout Lot 1, Plan 002 1154, and Lot 1,  Block 1, Plan 142 0727, located in the neighbourhood of Emerson, have been identified for sale for the development of a community amenity site by Hazen Holdings Ltd. These properties may be developed for temporary care, assisted living, adult day care, day care facility, or place of worship and other community uses as proposed and approved by The City.  The site may be subdivided if necessary to meet the needs of the potential tenants.
