Financial Services is divided into the following sections:
Asset Management represents a way of doing business. It brings a strategic approach to how we will carry out actions, reach decisions, and apply technology to manage The City's infrastructure. This program is about ensuring we are able to apply the right resources for operating, maintaining and renewing the right assets, at the right time.
Budgets & Investments manages The City's operating and capital budget, capital asset, accounting and investments.
Financial Systems & Methods is responsible for the financial applications of The City including: strategic planning, implementation, and maintenance of the financial systems and sub-systems. The section oversees business process development, internal controls and reviews, and sets financial data recovery policies and standards. This section is also responsible for financial reporting and the external audit process.
Procurement oversees transactional processing in the areas of Accounts Payable and Purchasing.
