Why set up your Look 'n Book account?
You'll need to set up an account to register for any recreation or culture programs or to reserve an activity, like public swimming, lane swimming, fitness and more. A Look ‘n Book account is your key to booking programs and reserving activities.
Quickly register for programs
As part of our COVID-19 safety measures, the City has a limited capacity for pre-registered programs. Quickly book for the program you want to do when you want to do it.
Book your time slot for activities
As part of our COVID-19 safety measures, you can no longer drop in for activities. If you want to do a lane swim or use the gym, you’ll have to book a time slot.
Together, we're more confident
We are excited to welcome you back to our recreation and culture amenities. We are working hard to provide a safe environment for both visitors and staff at our facilities. But this environment will look different, and we ask that all visitors read, follow, and respect our guidelines, along with all Alberta Health guidelines and public health orders. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work through this together.
We don't want you to miss out
Subscribing is the first crucial step to getting you set up with a Look 'n Book account. Be among the first to hear about what exciting programs the City has to offer.

MyActivity Guide is a summary of all the programs offered by the City of Red Deer. You can create a custom Activity Guide, based on your or your family’s interests. Create one here today.
In the past, we have printed and distributed Activity Guides to citizens. However, due to the ongoing uncertainly regarding COVID-19, and unknown health restrictions that may be in place over the coming months, the City has made the difficult decision to suspend the production and print of the Activity Guide for fall 2020. The good news is that program and activity information and registration is available online. We are saving paper by not printing full guides, and we are able to be more flexible and responsive through our online platform. Now that the Activity Guide is an online source, users can find up-to-date program information online and real-time availability. We encourage you to create a made-for-you Activity Guide here.

"Programs" are pre-registered, scheduled instructor-led classes, such as swimming lessons, spins class, art class, etc.
"Activities" are time blocks that can be reserved, either through classes with an instructor (i.e. Aqua fit or Spin class) or access to spaces (i.e. gymnasium amenities, lane swimming, skating, etc.). These activities would have been considered drop-in activities prior to COVID-19.
We are currently planning our fall programming, taking into account COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions. Registration for individual and family programs will begin August 26. Click here for a step by step video on how to register for a program.
Programs will be available for viewing on August 20. Activity reservations for aquatics, indoor fitness, and Field House/gymnasium will also continue into the fall.
Fitness centres and gyms will be available for public use in the recreation facilities that opened in July. See here for up-to-date facility status information.

Because we need to limit program capacities and provide more time between activities in facilities, we now offer a reduced-program schedule. We have prioritized our most popular programs, and we will be adding new programs every week as safety protocols are put in place.
