Andrea loves to connect with her class members and encourages accountability and community. She enjoys empowering others by teaching proper form and providing options to ensure participants can make informed choices with or without her. “I like to motivate and challenge others (as well as myself) by developing and implementing balanced, effective, fun and safe programs and classes. Class planning is a creative outlet for me.”

Deb

Deb brings nearly a decade of experience as a certified yoga teacher at the Collicutt Centre, Recreation Centre and the Golden Circle. “Teaching with a relaxed approach and awareness of how the postures feel in your body, I help students to relax and relate to yoga wherever they’re at.” She continues to benefit from the expertise of her many teachers through workshops, retreats and online training.

Kari is a former elite marathon runner who uses a wide range of equipment and class designs to keep participants engaged. “I have mostly found myself teaching bootcamp style classes but this year I’ve included more resistance training style classes into the mix.  I also enjoy teaching learn to run and running technique clinics.”

Linzee

Teaching group exercise sparked a passion within Linzee she didn’t know existed. “I love making fitness fun! I am truly interested in all things health and wellness and enjoy teaching others about health, fitness and forming lasting relationships.”

Lyla

Lyla is a strong believer in the self healing powers of the body. “QiGong for Health in Chinese medicine is like physiotherapy is to western medicine, but it works more on the internal organs through relaxed breathing, body movements and focusing the mind towards healing and relaxing.” Lyla also teaches Tai Chi which helps strengthen the body by coordinating the breath with body movement and focusing of the mind.

Suzanne is former professional mountain biker and a strong believer in “just move” - no matter your age, gender, health, experience, motivations, body type or background, there is always SOMETHING you can do. “I think of the human body as a beautiful instrument, each one unique and designed to play its own amazing music.  We are designed to MOVE! How that happens is up to you!” Suzanne believes consistency is more important than intensity. “Commit to regular movement over the long haul, even if it’s just gentle. If you never stop practicing, you will never lose your repertoire.”

Wendy loves teaching fitness classes for many reasons, but the most important reason is fun! “Becoming an instructor increased my confidence and it has offered me the opportunity to help others do the same by showing them that they are capable of working harder than they thought possible.” Wendy says it’s rewarding to know she’s playing a role in making exercise a regular part of people’s daily lives. “Nothing beats having participants return to your class again and again and each time leaving with a smile on their face.”
