(Red Deer, Alberta)Building permit values increased significantly in June, with 107 issued permits valued at $949.2 million, compared with 120 permits issued in June 2024 worth $5.7 million.
Year-to-date permit values remain higher in 2025, with current values at over $1 billion, compared with $62.6 million at this time last year.
Notable permits include:
- Building permit for construction of a new patient tower at Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, 3942 50A Avenue, valued at $940 million
- Building permit for construction of an eight-unit multi-family attached dwelling at 3733 45 Street, valued at $1.7 million
- Building permit for interior and exterior renovations to convert existing retail space to a new No Frills Supermarket at 105-2004 50 Avenue, valued at $1.5 million
- Building permit for interior renovations to convert existing art classroom to new sonography lab classroom at 100 Donald Boulevard, valued at $550,000
- Building permit for preparations to existing space for future tenant at 6321 50 Avenue, valued at $520,000
