Outdoor tennis court resurfacing begins next week

April 13, 2017 3:12 PM
(Red Deer, Alberta)

Work on the outdoor tennis courts in Rotary Recreation Park will begin on Tuesday, April 18.

The outdoor tennis courts, originally built in 1969 and reconstructed in 1990 are in need of resurfacing due to aged infrastructure and cracking on the surface. Work includes removing the existing asphalt, re-paving the tennis courts, applying a coloured top coat with line markings and constructing a new retaining wall.

The courts will remain closed during construction and are expected to re-open to user groups and the public mid-July 2017.
