You still have a chance to tell us what you think, Red Deer

(Red Deer, Alberta)

Last night at the Budget 2018 Open House, nearly 100 residents came out to learn about the 2017 budget, and share their thoughts about where they would do things a little differently.

That chance is not over. Residents are encouraged to visit us online and take the new and improved online survey about where you think your tax dollar should be spent, and ensure their voice is heard.

“We need you to help us fill in the blanks, and tell us where you would spend your tax dollar,” said Dean Krejci, Chief Financial Officer. “Residents can also tell us what programs and services they see as priorities for The City, which will assist administration in preparation for Budget 2018.”

The new online tool allows residents to take a hand at balancing the budget, moving the slider on how much they would budget for certain service groups, and answer a few questions about priorities and future vision.

“The new online tool is easy to use, and the input we receive is very important to us,” said Krejci. “We hope residents take advantage of the opportunity to shape our city.”

To complete the survey, and for more information about The City’s budget, residents can visit www.reddeer.ca/budget.
