City of Red Deer employees were recognized for their years of service and special achievements at this evening's annual Employee Recognition Awards Banquet.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Bob Stollings Memorial Award. Established by City Council on January 21, 1985, it is presented every year to honour Robert (Bob) E. Stollings, a loyal and dedicated employee of The City of Red Deer from 1960 to 1984. The recipient of this prestigious award will have displayed outstanding civic performance in alignment with The City’s Cornerstone Values – Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence.

The winner of this year’s Bob Stollings Memorial Award is Linda Key. Linda has been with the Information Technology Services department for 27 years and has helped shape the way The City uses technology. Linda is a true leader who shows integrity, drive and pride in all that she does. Linda’s collaborative approach and the high quality of service she provides when managing projects and mentoring new employees are just some of the strong qualities that made Linda the perfect candidate for this top award.
