Building permits applications slowed in June, but year-to-date permit values continue to surpass 2017 numbers.
Year-to-date building permits continue to rise in value over 2017 for the first six months of the year in Red Deer. So far this year, total permits have been valued at $98.7 million compared to $59.3 million last year at this time.
Notable permits for June include: a permit valued at $1.7 million to build an 8-unit Children’s Assisted Living complex at 200-428 Timothy Drive; a permit valued at $1 million for new office space and roof top units at 94 Burnt Park Drive; and a $979,000 permit for renovations to the Bower Ponds Pavilion, including an addition to the existing building as well as exterior alterations.
