Another opportunity to share your ideas for The City’s budget

(Red Deer, Alberta)

Every year, City of Red Deer administration builds a budget based on City Council’s priorities and financial direction. This year, citizens and community groups have another opportunity to share their ideas in the form of a written submission.

“We talked with several residents at the Budget Open House, have been recording input through the budget online survey and heard from many through the comments of citizens and groups in our community, but we want to make sure everyone has had the opportunity to tell us their ideas,” said Craig Curtis, City Manager. “Balancing the needs of Red Deer with the current economic situation remains a strong priority when planning for our community’s prosperous future, and working with you, our citizens, is an imperative part of this plan.”

The City invites residents, community members and community groups to submit thoughts, ideas and concerns for consideration for the 2019 capital and operating budgets in the form of a written brief. The input submitted will ensure The City’s agenda reflects the community’s needs.

Budget 2019 submissions can be written and mailed to the address below, or submitted via email at There are no restrictions to length, format or content of the submission – The City just wants to hear from residents in whatever way makes the most sense. Written submissions must be received by Monday, June 18, 2018
