Seniors Fair to highlight recreation opportunities for older Red Deerians

(Red Deer, Alberta)

Seniors are invited to come to the Collicutt Centre Monday, October 1 to learn about recreation and leisure opportunities available to them in Red Deer.

Staff will be available to answer questions and share information about programs, activities and facilities available through The City of Red Deer. The date was chosen to coincide with the United Nations’ International Day of Older Persons.

9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Collicutt Centre (3031 30 Avenue)

This event, in conjunction with SSPI (Seniors Service Providers Interagency), provides an opportunity for guests to meet staff from several agencies, organizations and government departments who care for the wellbeing of seniors living in Central Alberta, including The City of Red Deer. 

“The City of Red Deer offers a wide variety of recreation services for all levels, abilities and interests” said Barb McKee, Recreation Superintendent. “By highlighting programs and activities available to seniors, we hope to encourage older Red Deerians to stay healthy, active and connected.”
