Charitable and non-profit organizations throughout the province can now submit applications for provincial Social Services Support Funding for COVID-19 Response.
Earlier this week, the Province announced $30 million in one-time funding to support charitable and non-profit organizations to provide help to individuals, seniors, families and other vulnerable populations who are isolated or impacted by COVID-19, with applications to be administered through FCSS supports.
“This funding was a welcome announcement as it will provide necessary funding to those community organizations working to support our community during this unprecedented crisis,” said Emergency Operations Director, Karen Mann.
Applications are now open to eligible organizations within the Red Deer and District geographical area through the City’s website. Details about funding and eligibility, as well as the online application process, are available on.
“We are working with The Province to streamline this process and to process applications as quickly as possible to ensure organizations receive the funding they need to continue to support our community during COVID-19” said Mann.
The Red Deer and District FCSS is a partnership between six municipalities and includes the City of Red Deer, Red Deer County, the Town of Bowden, the Village of Delburne, the Village of Elnora and the Town of Penhold.
