Red Deer RCMP seek public assistance in identifying female

Red Deer, Alta. – Red Deer RCMP are requesting assistance in identifying a female person of interest in relation to a theft of a restricted firearm from a residence.

The offence occurred in October 2019 when the owner of the firearm met with a potential buyer for the purposes of a private sale. The firearm was stolen and the individual fled the scene after the owner asked to see the buyer’s Purchase and Acquisition License (PAL). In November, the firearm was recovered by police in an abandoned stolen vehicle.

This individual is described as:

  • caucasian female
  • 19 -20 years old
  • approximately 5”8
  • 115 lbs.
  • wearing a black bandana
  • may use first name of Hanna
