Red Deer RCMP look for suspect in hit and run motorcycle collision

Red Deer, Alta – Red Deer RCMP are looking for public assistance to identify the driver and vehicle involved in a collision with a motorcycle at Gaetz Avenue and 22 Street on July 22.  

At approximately 9:30 p.m. on July 22, 2019, a motorcyclist was driving southbound on Gaetz when a vehicle travelling westbound on 22 Street ran a red light, causing the motorcycle to collide with the vehicle. The vehicle did not stop and was last seen heading west toward Taylor Drive. It is described as a small grey SUV or car.

The motorcyclist sustained injuries and was transported to hospital. 

Police continue to investigate this collision and are asking for the public’s assistance to identify the person responsible.
