Red Deer, Alta. – Red Deer RCMP have taken one male into custody following an incident at the Collicutt Centre earlier today.

At approximately 11:45 a.m. Red Deer RCMP responded to reports of a person with a weapon outside of the Collicutt Centre in Red Deer. The Collicutt Centre, Hunting Hills High School and Notre Dame High School were placed in lockdown as a safety precaution but have since been released.

RCMP have taken one male in custody and are not searching for any other suspects.
