Point in Time Homeless Count
The Point in Time (PIT) Homeless Count & Survey is a coordinated event where persons experiencing homelessness are counted and asked a number of questions to get a snapshot in time of those experiencing homelessness in the community.
The City of Red Deer is coordinating the 2024 PIT Count on October 10, 2024, in collaboration with community partners.
The PiT Count and Survey is funded by the Government of Canada’s Reaching Home: Canada’s Homelessness Strategy.
A complete 2024 PiT Count results report will be available at a later date when all systems data has been collected and analyzed. In the meantime, here is the 2024 Homelessness at a Glance preliminary report (pdf).
