Red Deer residents and visitors are invited to discover, experience and celebrate local arts, culture and heritage during Alberta Culture Days this September, with more than 50 free events and activities planned across the city.
For 25 years, Red Deer's Waste Management Facility has supported the community's commitment to environmental stewardship through waste diversion, recycling, composting and responsible waste management.
The City of Red Deer is inviting residents to apply for Council committees, boards and commissions. Applications open today and will be accepted until September 18, 2026.

At 3:37 a.m. on August 11, Red Deer Emergency Services (RDES) responded to a structure fire at the 3400 block of 49 Avenue. Upon arrival, crews found the three-storey apartment building's exterior on fire.
