Community Associations

Red Deer has several neighbourhood-based Community Associations that provide a great way to connect with others living in your neighbourhood.

Community Associations have played a key role in enhancing the quality of life in Red Deer for many years. They organize neighbourhood activities and special events that help foster social connection and belonging within a community.  Several associations also manage the local neighbourhood activity centre and outdoor rinks, ensuring that your neighbourhood spaces are clean, safe, and meeting the needs of residents.

Your local Community Association is always seeking new members with fresh ideas and a passion for creating a more welcoming, safe, and vibrant neighborhood.

Bower Place Community Association

The Bower Place Community Association is committed to serving the needs of the Bower neighbourhood located in the south end of the city. They provide events and programs that bring people together to make the community safer and more connected. The association operates a hall and a skate shack with many amenities located on site to support the fun. The also oversee a community garden. For all the details and happenings in Bower:

Central Park Neighbourhood Association

Central Park Neighbourhood Association was recently formed to manage the Central Park Hall located in the annexed community located north of the city of Red Deer.  This small but mighty community is happy to invite people to experience this hidden gem.

Clearview Meadows Community Association

Clearview Meadows Community Association manages a small hall in the heart of this northeast neighbourhood.  Their mission focuses on creating Belonging, Connection, Care and Fun by offering events all year long, with the annual Chili Cook-Off and Ice Cream in the Park events being a highlight. Residents can join the Facebook page to stay up to date on what’s happening.

Clearview Ridge Neighbourhood Association

Clearview Ridge is one of Red Deer’s newer neighbourhoods in the northeast uniquely situated around a shopping centre.  The Clearview Ridge Neighbourhood Association hosts events for neighbours to connect including the annual Frosty Fest and hosting movies in the park. They have an active online community for residents to connect and share with each other.

Eastview Estates Community Association

Eastview Estates Community Association operates a small hall in the centre of a large park site with unique amenities such as a BBQ and Beach Volleyball Court in addition to the playground and numerous sports fields.  They offer opportunities for residents to engage throughout the year.

East Morrisroe Community Association

East Morrisroe Community Association manages an activity centre in the centre of Mclean Park (Morrisroe Extension) and is also home to Renegades Soccer Club in the summertime. Highland Green Community Association

Highland Green Community Association has been managing an activity centre for many years in the park site of Highland Green Estates.  They also host many different programs such as Royal City Soccer camps in the summertime.

Kentwood Community Association

Kentwood Community Association supports a large section of the city to the North including the  neighbourhoods of Kingsgate, Kentwood East and Kentwood West. They host annual events including Snacks with Santa and a Movie in the Park, as well as many other activities throughout the year. Follow along for the latest information:

Morrisroe West Community Association

Morrisroe West Community Association has been managing the activity centre in Morrisroe located next to the Kinsmen Arena for several years.  They are home to a Little Free library and Community Garden. This association also currently oversee the Grandview Gardens Activity Centre as well.

Mountview/Sunnybrook Community Association

The Mountview Sunnybrook Community Association covers two unique neighbourhoods.  With an activity centre and fruit orchard located on the Mountview side of 32 street. They host an annual Gingerbread House event and games nights throughout the year.

Oriole Park Community Association

Oriole Park Community Association supports Oriole Park and Oriole Park West with activities hosted at the activity centre next to the Oriole Park Elementary School.  From Paint nights to Pumpkin carving and a Winter Fest with Wagons Rides there is always something happening. They also have community garden opportunities within the neighbourhood.

Parkvale Community Association

Parkvale Community Association is made up of residents living in this unique downtown neighbourhood.  Parkvale is one of the oldest neighbourhoods and holds a special Heritage status. The association manages the Pioneer Lodge, a log structure hall with an extensive history.

Pines Community Association

The Pines Community Association has their home in this northeast neighbourhood and operates an activity centre in the centre of the community.  They host a few annual events such as the Fall BBQ and host an active Facebook group for residents to connect.

Riverside Meadows Community Association

Riverside Meadows Community Association is Red Deer’s oldest community association. This neighbourhood just outside the downtown is home to a small activity centre, where the community association holds events throughout the year. The association also oversees a community garden.

Rosedale Community Association

Rosedale Community Association covers both Rosedale Estates and Rosedale Meadows neighbourhoods. They host a few events throughout the year and operate an activity centre on the central park site.  This association also shares the site with Red Deer Minor Football.

Waskasoo Community Association

Waskasoo Community Association has been dedicated to revitalizing their neighbourhood park site over the last few years.  Including a community garden, a gazebo and new playground.  The revitalized site is also home for many events including movies in the park and the Pie in the Park event in the fall.

West Park Community Association

The West Park Community Association supports the neighbourhoods of West Park, West Park Estates and West Lake.  They manage an activity centre located beside the West Park Elementary School and host events such as the annual Winter Fest.  The association has dedicated much time and effort to developing Store Hill park site including walking paths and a community garden.

Woodlea Community Association

Woodlea Community Association supports the residents of this smaller downtown community. They host events throughout the year and make connections with businesses around them, while also working to preserve the history of their neighbourhood.
