The City of Red Deer is excited to announce that applications are now officially open for the Community Culture Development Fund (CCDF) three-year funding cycle (2026–2028). Local not-for-profit organizations delivering arts, culture and heritage programs are encouraged to apply for this vital municipal funding program.
The CCDF Development stream provides three-year project funding to support organizations that create meaningful cultural experiences and foster community connection. This year, The City has introduced key program updates aimed at maximizing impact, enhancing clarity, and ensuring equitable access to funding:
- Three-Year Projects Only. The CCDF Development stream now exclusively supports three-year funding terms to better align with program goals and fully allocate available resources.
- Improved Access. If funding is not fully allocated in the first year, two-year or one-year funding calls may be issued in subsequent years.
- Clearer Guidelines. Eligibility and evaluation criteria have been refined to support transparency, fairness, and ease of application.
“Red Deer is home to a diverse and talented cultural community,” said Bobby-Jo Stannard, Safe and Healthy Communities Manager. “This funding supports organizations that provide essential arts, heritage, and cultural services to our residents, and this three-year model offers greater stability and planning capacity.”
