With a national postal strike underway, The City of Red Deer wishes to minimize the impact on our customers by ensuring they know how to view bills and account balances, and where and how to pay.
Customer service is a priority for The City of Red Deer; however, a mailing disruption means The City cannot mail utility bills, account information or regular correspondence to customers and stakeholders. Starting today, outgoing mail will be held at City Hall for one week, where recipients are able to pick up.
During a mailing disruption, utility and other City bill payments are still due on the specified due date, and applicable late penalties will not be waived. Customers are encouraged to register for a MyCity profile at RedDeer.ca/MyCityLogin to view account information for business licences, dog licences, utility billing and property tax.
Invoices for landfill and sani-dump services will be emailed, when possible. Ambulance false alarm and fire inspection invoices can be picked up at City Hall. Invoices with values over $5,000 will be emailed or couriered.
Mail that is addressed to The City of Red Deer can be dropped off at City Hall, during regular business hours, or placed in the after hours drop boxes located at both City Hall entrances.
