The Monday, July 28, 2026 regular City Council meeting, including scheduled public hearings, will be held at the Intermediate School, Omni Activity Space, and will begin at 1 p.m.
This is a change from the regular 10:30 a.m. start time and regular Council Chambers location.
The temporary relocation is required while City Council Chambers is closed for renovation. Renovations will begin July 15, following the July 14 regular City Council meeting, which will be the final meeting held in the current Chambers before construction begins.
The Council Chambers renovation will address aging infrastructure and improve functionality, accessibility, safety and technology in the space. The project includes a redesigned layout, seating reconfiguration, accessibility upgrades, security enhancements, new audiovisual and IT infrastructure, new flooring and new furniture.
Construction is scheduled to take place primarily during Council’s summer meeting break and is anticipated to be complete by September 1. The City is targeting a return to Council Chambers for the September 1 Council meeting.
Residents planning to attend the July 28 meeting or participate in a scheduled public hearing should note the temporary location and start time:
