Beat the heat this summer with pop-up spray parks

Starting next week, spray parks will once again be popping up in neighbourhoods across the city.

Kids and families are invited to join Red Deer Emergency Services, Municipal Policing Services and members of the Red Deer RCMP who will use fire engines to create temporary spray parks every Thursday throughout July and early August.

Each spray park will run from 6:30 – 8 p.m. and the schedule for pop-up spray parks is as follows:

  • July 15, 2021 – Oriole Park Community Association (5 Ogden Avenue)
  • July 22, 2021 – Highland Green Community Centre (65 Halladay Avenue)
  • July 29, 2021 – Deer Park Community Association (181 Dowler Street)
  • August 5, 2021 – Location to be confirmed
  • August 12, 2021 – Riverside Meadows Community Centre (6021 57 Avenue)
  • August 19, 2021 – Joseph Welsh Elementary School (4401 37 Avenue)

Events are weather dependent and will not go ahead if weather warnings are in place. Please make sure to check The City’s social media pages each Thursday for updates.

Participants are reminded to not attend if they are feeling unwell or are currently required to quarantine.
