A list of candidates is available at elections.reddeer.ca, where candidates have the option to submit a profile including a brief biography, a list of the candidate’s priorities, and links to the candidate’s website or social media. In addition, public forums hosted by community organizations offer voters the opportunity to hear each candidate’s position on key topics. Confirmed forums are also listed on the Elections website.

In the 2021 Election, Red Deer voters will be able to vote at any voting station rather than attending a dedicated neighbourhood voting station as they would have in past elections. Voters are encouraged to vote early to reduce crowding and wait times on Election Day. Three voting stations will be open on Advance Vote days from October 4 to 16 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day, or voters can choose to attend any one of eight voting stations open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day, October 18.

In addition to voting for Mayor, City Councillors and School Board Trustees, voters will also be invited to participate in the Senate election and provide response to two referendum questions.

Information about the Election, including candidate names and profiles, a list of public forums, voter eligibility and voting station information is available on the Elections website at elections.reddeer.ca.
