September 15, 2021 2:07 PM
(Red Deer, Alberta)

To improve accessibility for voters in the upcoming federal election, The City of Red Deer is offering free fares and extended hours on Monday, September 20, 2021. All Transit routes will operate until 8:45 p.m. and the Dynamic Shuttle Service will begin operating at 9:00 p.m.

“Thousands of people rely on Red Deer Transit every day to get around the city,” said Trever Sparrow, Red Deer Transit Superintendent. “If we can eliminate one of the barriers that might keep someone from being able to vote, then we want to do that.”

Red Deer Transit routes and schedules are available online at www.reddeer.ca/transit or by downloading the MyBus app. The free transit program will be in effect all day on September 20 and routes will run until 8:45 p.m.

Anyone needing assistance planning your route, can call our Transit team at 403-342-8225.
