It will be easier than ever to support locally owned businesses in Red Deer with the launch of an online business directory.
The new tool contains all businesses licensed within the city and allows users to search by name, address, and business type. Categories include accommodations, contractors, direct sellers, food and drink, health and medical, industrial, mobile business unit, not for profit, office, personal services, recreation/entertainment, sales and services, and transportation. There are some business types not requiring a municipal license due to their membership in a Provincial Associations, or where exempted under the Health Act. These businesses will not be included in the directory unless they have made arrangements with The City of Red Deer.
“We’re pleased to support locally owned and operated businesses by providing an online database where potential customers can access all businesses licensed within the city,” said Erin Stuart, Inspections and Licensing Manager. “Residents now have a user-friendly, self-serve web tool to research licenced businesses when it is convenient for them.”
