(Red Deer, Alberta)

Starting on July 4, 2022, Parks and Public Works aerial lift trucks will be pruning city owned trees in the downtown area between 48 Street and 52 Street, as well as 47 Avenue and 51 Avenue. Work is expected to be complete by August 5, 2022.

Work will take place on weekdays and there will be intermittent lane and parking closures between 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Signs will be placed to advise drivers of closures.

Drivers, residents, and businesses are reminded to adhere to safety and traffic controls and give crews and equipment space to operate.

City tree maintenance is part of the cyclical pruning program for safety, plant health care and clearance.
