Red Deer’s non-emergency police phone line has a new number

November 7, 2022 11:42 AM
(Red Deer, Alberta)

Red Deerians will need to dial a new number to reach the police non-emergency phone line as Red Deer RCMP modernizes its existing phone infrastructure.

Moving forward, Red Deerians are asked to please call 403-406-2200 for non-emergency police matters. This number replaces the previous non-emergency number 403-343-5575.

The non-emergency line should be used in the following situations:

  • Reporting a crime that is not in progress
  • Suspicious persons, vehicles, or activities
  • Noise complaints involving loud music or parties

Remember to always call 9-1-1 if the crime is in progress, or in situations where an immediate response from police is required. Red Deerians can also use the online crime reporting option for crimes not in progress, available at www.reddeer.ca/rcmp.

To report bylaw complaints, please use The City of Red Deer’s central bylaw line 403-406-8766. For more details about who to call for enforcement, please visit reddeer.ca/enforcement.
