4:30 p.m. Building no longer evacuated
Residents of an evacuated building on Ironstone Drive are being let back in following a gas leak that occurred this afternoon.
Emergency Services will remain on scene for several hours for ongoing monitoring. Ironstone Drive is expected to re-open to traffic in the next hour.
3:50 p.m. RDES investigating possible gas leak
RDES is on scene of a possible gas leak at a multi-family residential unit on Ironstone Drive.
There are no injuries. Occupants of the building are currently evacuated, with City transit buses on scene to provide a warm space for evacuees. RDES is investigating the cause.
Ironstone Drive from 30 Avenue to Inglewood Drive is closed to traffic at this time. Please avoid the area.
