Building permit values continue decrease in May

Building permit values decreased in May, with 107 approved permits valued at $7.8 million, compared with 110 permits issued in May 2022 worth $35 million.

Year-to-date values remain lower in 2023, with current values at $35 million compared with $78 million last year.

Notable permits include:

  • Building permit for modifications to existing structures at 27251 TWP RD 391, valued at $1 million
  • Building permit to install a 50-ton overhead crane system behind existing shop at 4310 77 Street, valued at $1 million
  • Building permit to renovate existing classroom and storage areas in the 1300 nursing wing at 100 College Boulevard, valued at $815,000
  • Building permit to construct new cold storage building at 4530 77 Street, valued at $531,000
  • Building permit for storage addition at 300 Jordan Parkway, valued at $400,000
