Red Deer seniors are invited to join Mayor Ken Johnston and Red Deer City Councillors for an indoor garden party.
“I am thrilled that we will once again gather to celebrate Red Deer seniors,” said Mayor Ken Johnston. “We’ve had to move the event indoors due to weather in previous years, so we decided to bring the garden indoors this year.”
Mark your calendars! Details for the Mayor’s Garden Party are:
- Tuesday, June 6, 2-4 p.m. – Mayor Ken Johnston to welcome guests at 2 p.m.
- Harvest Centre, Westerner Park; 4847A – 19 Street
- Musical entertainment, games and refreshments
Complimentary event parking is available at Westerner Park and a shuttle will be available from Sorenson Station. The shuttle will depart Sorenson Station at 1:30 p.m. and will leave Westerner Park to return to Sorenson Station at 3:45 p.m.
If you are driving yourself or others to the event, please remember that there is a major construction project on 19 Street and only right-turns are permitted into and out of Westerner Park.
