Work in and around the trails at Heritage Ranch will soon be underway with City staff in the area felling trees. The work is expected to take place from Monday, March 27 to March 31, 2023.
The trails will remain open; however, trail users are advised there may be crews working throughout the area.
“The felling and removal of these trees is limited to those that are dying and damaged to reduce risk for trail users and the public,” said Doug Evans, Biodiversity Supervisor. “Assessing and removing damaged and dying trees is part of our regular urban forestry practices, and we always make every effort to remove as few trees as possible, and only those that are absolutely required.”
The City thanks the public for their cooperation to avoid areas with trail closure and tree work signage while staff performs this work.
