Building permit values decrease in October

Building permit values decreased in October, with 72 approved permits valued at $2.8 million, compared with 75 permits issued in October 2022 worth $5.3 million.

Year-to-date values remain lower in 2023, with current values at $76.6 million compared with $143.5 million last year.

Notable permits include:

  • Building permit for interior and exterior renovations to existing facility located at 6779 65 Avenue, valued at $286,000.
  • Building permit for a new detached dwelling with double attached garage and rear uncovered deck at 58 Lindman Avenue, valued at $226,000.
  • Building permit for tenant improvements at existing retail facility located at 430-5001 19 Street, valued at $190,000.
  • Building permit for new detached dwelling with attached garage and developed basement at 50 Larose Crescent, valued at $155,000.
  • Building permit for new detached dwelling with front attached garage and rear uncovered deck located at 18 Thayer Close, valued at $147,000.
