(Red Deer, Alberta)The following items are on Red Deer City Council’s meeting agenda for Tuesday, September 5, 2023.
Strategic Plan Quarterly Report (information):
- On Tuesday, administration will present the Q2 Report Card, which highlights the progress towards the outcomes in the 2023-2026 Strategic Plan. It will showcase specific activities related to seven outcomes, including work towards creating an enjoyable and vibrant downtown.
Annual Policing Plan Update and Crime Stats (information):
- Council will receive stats and trends we are seeing for this quarter.
Capstone Land Matter (approval):
- On Tuesday, City Council will be asked to consider a series of resolutions to approve the sale of a parcel of land in the Capstone area below market value to support development in the downtown area.
- At their regular meeting on June 12, City Council passed a resolution to receive offers for the sale of a portion of lands at 5436 47 Street in Capstone for multi-family development, which may be subject to rental guarantees, that will reduce the land sale price by $250,000.
