Outdoor rinks and pond surface closed for the season

With recent warm temperatures and sunshine, the remaining outdoor rinks, Bower Ponds skating pond, and the Ice Oval at Great Chief Park are now all closed for the season.

Parks and Public Works staff will remove nets and turn off the lights in the next day or two.

The City is also issuing a reminder to stay safe on all ice surfaces. Fluctuating temperatures and flowing water causes soft spots that may not be noticeable to the eye. Stay off ice and keep children and pets clear of ice surfaces as well.
