(Red Deer, Alberta)Residents are advised of upcoming traffic disruptions and reduced access in the Woodlea neighbourhood this weekend as the Woody’s Marathon takes place.
Beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 42A Avenue from 55 Street to 58 Street will be closed until Sunday, May 19 at 4 p.m.
On Sunday, May 19 from 7:50 a.m. to 8:40 a.m., 55 Street from 42A Avenue to 45 Avenue, and 45 Avenue from 55 Street to the entrance of Mackenzie Trails will be closed. Additionally, 40 Ave from 52 Street to 42A Ave (Michener Hill), will be reduced to one lane from 7:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. to accommodate race participants.
Please use extra precaution when driving in the area and consider finding an alternate route.
